It's easy to see that Alias is my favorite show. I've created a handful of Alias fics, some good, some not-so-good, but all an honest effort to pay tribute to a show that I love, despite cancellation. I'm an Alias fan for life.

I've been married for seven years to a great guy who understands me (not an easy feat!) and encourages my creativity. We both grew up in Chicago but currently live at the crossroads of America, in Lafayette, Indiana. We enjoy movies, TV and rousing games of Apples to Apples, Cranium and Trivial Pursuit.

Nothing has more deeply defined and shaped me personally than being a survivor of endometrial cancer. I battled it and beat it two years ago with the assistance of a top-notch doctor, hormone therapy, a total abdominal hysterectomy (with bilateral salpingo oophorectomy) and most importantly, my faith in God. I am a born-again Christian and I believe God allowed this illness to come into my life according to His perfect will. While His reasons are yet unknown to me, I do know that His grace alone brought me through those terrible six months.

I'm still (and always will be) dealing with the sadness and grief that comes from losing my ability to bear children. I'm also dealing with the effects of forced menopause at the age of 32. All of this and more, however, is bearable because I know it is just a small part of God's plan for my life. I trust Him, and I trust that this will lead to bigger and better things for me.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I'd be absolutely lost if not for the peace God has given me in this (and every) situation. It is a peace that passes all understanding, a peace that comes only from knowing God and accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.
